Tripp Lite Hospital Grade Equipment

UPS Systems and Isolation Transformers

Tripp Lite's Medical-Grade UPS Systems and Isolation Transformers provide UL 60601-1 compliance for all connected equipment. All Medical-Grade UPS Systems and Isolation Transformers feature built-in, Faraday-shielded isolation transformers that reduce the cumulative leakage current of connected equipment as low as 100μA (on Isolation Transformers). Full isolation provides superior common mode noise rejection while maintaining very low leakage current safety.

Medical-Grade UPS Systems provide the highest level of protection against power problems. In addition to full isolation, all receptacles provide battery backup during blackouts, allowing service to continue uninterrupted. As an ideal backup solution to facility generators, the UPS Systems will automatically switch between utility power and battery backup power within 2-4 milliseconds (well within the fault tolerances of the most sensitive computer equipment). Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) keeps equipment working through low voltage (brownouts) or high voltage conditions indefinitely, without draining battery power. All models also protect connected equipment against damaging surges and disruptive EMI/RFI line noise.

Medical-Grade Isolation Transformers are the ideal solution for equipment that does not require battery backup support but does need high isolation and leakage current safety. All models also protect connected equipment against damaging surges and disruptive EMI/RFI line noise.

Mobile Power Retrofit Kit

Tripp Lite's Medical-Grade Mobile Power Retrofit Kit provides UL 60601-1 compliance for all connected mobile equipment. In addition, it upgrades new or existing carts for a fraction of the cost of buying new powered models.

The Retrofit Kit's power supply features a built-in isolation transformer which reduces the cumulative leakage current of connected equipment. Full isolation provides superior common mode noise rejection while maintaining very low leakage current safety. When connected to utility power, all receptacles protect connected equipment against damaging surges and disruptive EMI/RFI line noise.

The included user-replaceable battery module provides long-lasting mobile power, up to 12 hours in standard applications. When the Retrofit Kit's power supply is connected to a wall outlet, it automatically recharges the battery module. An advanced 3-stage charger recharges the battery safer and faster than conventional chargers. Faster charging ensures faster cart rotation between shifts.

The Retrofit Kit's power supply features an internal Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) that works automatically, whether the power supply is plugged into a wall outlet or mobile. The ATS allows the power supply to simultaneously run connected equipment while recharging the battery module.

PowerAlert Software, included, saves valuable patient data from loss or corruption in the event the cart is left unattended and battery power is depleted. PowerAlert Software runs on any cart-mounted computer (laptop or desktop).

The Retrofit Kit also includes a remote user interface (RUI), mounting hardware and standard cabling. The Retrofit Kit is fully compatible with most popular carts by AFC, Anthro, Datalux, GCX, Hergo, Humanscale, Jaco, Knurr, Stinger and more.

Power Strip

Tripp Lite's PS-415-HGULTRA Power Strip is the first medical-grade power strip with full UL 60601-1 compliance. The PS-415-HGULTRA is the perfect replacement for all non-compliant power strips, helping bring facilities into full compliance with major safety regulations.

Where wall outlets are limited, the PS-415-HGULTRA provides a convenient source for AC power in a rugged, all-metal housing. The Power Strip's four outlets permit multiple pieces of electrical equipment to be operated in rooms with only a single duplex wall outlet. This enables healthcare facilities to serve their patients better by making more efficient use of available space.

A unique, patent-pending, internal site-wiring fault protection circuit guards against shock hazard by preventing power from reaching the unit's outlets in the presence of a fault (such as missing ground, reversed polarity or an open line). As an added convenience, the protection circuit will automatically reset itself and restore power once it verifies that no line fault exists.

The Power Strip features a switchless design to prevent accidental shutoff. Built-in safety covers prevent accidental contact with unused outlets. An extra-long 15-foot cord allows the Power Strip to be centrally located within a room. Keyhole slots and flanges allow the Power Strip to be mounted to a variety of surfaces.
